How to Decorate Your Home for Halloween

Published on 15th October 2021

Spooky season is well and truly upon us and we're SO excited! Cosy evenings, scary movies, and the best thing: snacks! We don't know about you, but we wish the Mr Kipling Toffee Terror Whirls were around all year long. After such a quiet 18 months, we're yes people now - so going all out for each and every season gets two thumbs up from the Front Row team! If you're looking for advice and inspo for your Halloween home decor, just keep on reading!

Subtle Halloween Home Decor

Let's say you're not super into Halloween but still want to embrace it. There are ways to do it with balance and without going too OTT. The above example is perfect - a little centrepiece with some pumpkins and a cute little candle are just enough to add some seasonal spice to your home this Halloween. You can always string up some cute fairy lights, they're always appropriate so it's not a faff to take them down afterwards. Plus, they're so nice to look at now that the evenings have gone chilly and dark so early. All the cosy vibes!

Halloween Home Decor: Going All Out

Do we have any Halloqueens among us? If so, this one's for you! We're talking all orange everything, bunting, cushions, cobwebs, fairy lights, scary figurines... The works! There's so much potential when it comes to seasonal home decor, which is what makes it so fun. You get out of it exactly what you put in! If you're super into it, you can truly BECOME Halloween for several weeks. Costumes every day, wearing nothing but black and orange, cackling in a witch-like fashion... You catch our drift.

Halloween Decor: Outdoors

We've all heard of the famous stairways in NYC, littered with pumpkins, skeletons and all things spooky come October. Why should it be any different here? If you're a Halloween lover, now's the time to go all out! Add some autumnal leafy garlands, carve some jack-o-lanterns and add all things amber and yellow to your garden and yard this Halloween. If you really wanted to add some sparkle, you could pick up a Halloween wreath for your front door! Everyone will know who the king/queen of Halloween is this year!
