DIY Pencil Pot

Published on 17th April 2020

While learning from home kids may be missing their desks at school. We know how they love to add something personal to make it feel like their own.

These DIY pencil pots will add some colour to their home workspace and are a great way to keep them busy.

Depending what you have in the house we have two options!

Option 1 - Tin Pencil Pots

What You Will Need

  • Yarn
  • Empty tin
  • Glue or double sided cellotape

How To Make A Yarn Wrapped Pencil Holder

  1. Clean out your old tin can and make sure their are no sharp edges
  2. Use glue or double sided cellotape to create a sticky even layer around the tin
  3. Pick your yarn either using one colour throughout or mixing the colours as you go

Option 2 - Jar Pencil Pots

What You Will Need

  • Paint
  • A Jar
  • A marker
